We celebrate French and American independent film with premieres, retrospectives, round-table discussions on pertinent issues with industry experts, interviews with filmmakers, along with receptions, gourmet foods and high-caliber beverages, wines and liqueurs, and prizes for emerging filmmakers.

To kick off our second decade of organizing high-calibre film festivals in New York City, we have moved Avignon/New York from the spring to the autumn! Hunter College-CUNY offers extraordinary potential as the new home of Avignon/New York in Manhattan, with the prestigious 650-seat Kaye Playhouse as our main screening facility. In addition to all Festival screenings, Hunter will also host the Festivals interviews, discussion groups, receptions, and VIP functions at their Upper Eastside main campus at 68th Street & Lexington Avenue.

NEW: The Pierre Salinger Award for Documentary Filmmaking to be awarded to a deserving documentary filmmaker in memory of Mr. Salinger (1925-2004), who was spokesman for President Kennedy, served as Senator from California and was a renowned television journalist.
