OPENING NIGHT
13 MOONS directed by Alexandre Rockwell
From the award-winning director of IN THE SOUP comes his newest work, an ambitious, beautiful film, full of heart and passion. Steve Buscemi and Peter Dinklage (l) are part of a moving ensemble cast. Mr. Rockwell will join us along with Mr. Buscemi for the Opening Night.

CLOSING NIGHT
OUT OF THE ASHES directed by Joseph Sargent
Adapted from Gisella Perl’s stark, moving autobiography “I Was A Doctor in Auschwitz.” In her masterful performance, Christine Lahti brings to the screen the complex character of this proud, devoted woman who comes face to face with the unimaginable horrors of the Nazi regime and must learn how to help fellow inmates survive while surviving herself. With Beau Bridges, Bruce Davison and Richard Crenna.
Ms. Lahti will join us for this memorable evening.

Screening/Live Performance of William Wellman's WINGS (1927) at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8 at Peter Norton Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street), presented by William Wellman, Jr.

Charles "Buddy" Rogers, Clara Bow and Richard Arlen in WINGS, winner of the first "Oscar" for "Best Picture," a pioneering motion picture achievement. In tribute to one of the great masterpieces of the silent movie era, the 2003 Avignon/New York Film Festival is proud to present the premiere of a new full-length score, especially composed for William Wellman's WINGS by Alexandra Gordon, performed live with the screening and featuring the accomplished violin soloist, Anastasia Khitruk. The screening/performance will take place in the beautifully renovated Peter Norton Symphony Space on 95th and Broadway at 8 pm on Tuesday, April 8.
